Jane is an experienced nurse, manager and leader. She trained as a nurse in Oxford and worked in Edinburgh before moving to London where she spent several years working first in adult acute services and then in community services as a health visitor and manager. She has held Board level posts for almost 20 years in both provider and commissioning organisations, is a past participant of the King’s Fund UK Nurse Leadership Programme and a Florence Nightingale Leadership Scholar.

In NHS England, Jane leads the nursing directorate and a number of pan-London programmes including the Learning Disabilities and Autism programme, the Maternity and Babies, Children and Young People transformation programmes, all aimed at improving health and health outcomes for Londoners.

Working with colleagues in trusts and Integrated Care Systems, she is committed to making London the place for nurses and midwives from all backgrounds, to develop and have careers that excite and challenge.
